i used live mail to backup my 5000 files in 2gb in hotmail to my computer but were saved in a folder decided by the program inside of the all files of the program.

how can i save the files where i need with my other documents to be able to backup that?

thank you.

Hi again and thank you for requesting me!

By default, Windows Live Mail stores all e-mails in this location:

C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail

To change that location, do the following:

1. Start Windows Live Mail

2. Click on the Main button (upper left corner blue button) and select Options > Mail...

3. Click on the Advanced tab and there click on the Maintenance... button

4. Click on the Store Folder... button

5. Click on the Change... button, select another location and click OK

6. Exit Windows Live Mail for the changes to fully take effect. Upon exit, Windows will move existing e-mails from old the location to the newly selected location, so wait until the e-mails have been fully moved and then re-start Windows Live Mail
