ok did you run any windows update recently 2-3 days back

before i give you any steps i would like you to know that you can reopen this chat from just answer email by clicking on view answer
now please follow below steps
click start..in search box type regedit
click on regedit or registry editor option
let me know once open
now navigate to below path on left side pane
i am sorry the last word is explorer
so it should be HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
let me know once there
once there on right side pane check if you see any of the below
in the right-hand pane, delete them:

I don't see any of those
now navigate to the below path
now check on right side pane if you see any of the below entries
ok in that case lets run a system restore 2 days back
the system restore should reverse any changes to the system that might have caused the issue to occour.
click start...in the search box type system restore
in the window that appears, restore computer to earlier date and time and click nextselect a date may be a week or 2 back when system was running fine and click nextfollow the onscreen steps
please restore 2-3 days back and not 2-3 weeks
your computer will restart during this..so once restore completes please reopen this chat from just answer email
let me know once restore completes

it was a policy that might have got changed due to may be an accidental click somewhere
so should not happen again
