Hi,

I understand your confusion and frustration!

Microsoft has recently bought Skype, and is replacing Messenger with the Skype product.
In the latest version of Messenger which comes as an update, they are basically removing Messenger completely, and replacing it with Skype.

I hope this makes sense.

I can certainly help you to create an icon that will take you directly to your email, let me know if you need my help please.

Thanks,
