Have tried everything. When I hit F12 it says wireless is on but icon says no icons are available. I have eirelless access in same location uqsing my HP. Toshiba is brand new.

Can you click on Start, then right-click on Computer, then click on Manage, then click on Device manager, then open/expand Network adapters and check the items under it?
Do you see any problem/yellow item in Device Manager?

Nothing wrong with Device Manager - both devices including Wireless LAN are green.

Correct - just purchased it today. 64 Bit Satellite C855

Something does not seem right about the F12. I can't figure out how to turn/off wireless this way. My old HP I flipped a switch. Not sure about the F12 button thought.
