Hi, Welcome to just answers, My name is Scott and I will be assisting you today.

Netman70 :

check if you have an alternate "quick time" in your programs. uninstall it, re-install i-tunes and quick time separately and everything should work again

Hi Scott, help!

JACUSTOMER-ni289uy9- :

I already did that, and finally gfot itunes to install, but now windows won't let it run.

Netman70 :

Did you disable DEP?

JACUSTOMER-ni289uy9- :

Yes, I put a check next to itunes in DEP

Netman70 :

turn off DEP by clicking Start> All Programs> Accessories > right click on Command Prompt > choose Run as administrator. Now type
bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff
To turn DEP back on type bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOn.

Netman70 :

Disable Data Execution Prevention (DEP)

  1. Right click on My Computer and Select Properties.
  2. Click the Advanced tab, and in the Startup and Recovery section, click the Settings button.
  3. In the System Startup section, click the Edit button.
  4. Now find the text that says /noexecute=OptIn.
  5. You need to replace OptIn (which the default) with AlwaysOff.

Be sure to enter this text carefully and exactly as it's mentioned above. Failure to do so could prevent your computer from booting.

    Your boot.ini file should read:/noexecute=AlwaysOff
