Hi there, My Outlook Express...
Hi there,
My Outlook Express does not show the body of my emails, anymore. I can see the sender and the attachment, but the email/text is just a blank page. This is for new and old emails.

Please help.

Hello,

Close Outlook Express, then click the Windows Start button, search, For Files and Folders, All Files and folders. In the first search box, type *.dbx and under that click More Advanced Options. Make sure search hidden files and folders is checked, then press the search button. In the results that come up, find Inbox.dbx and delete it. Do not empty the recycle bin.

Now go ahead and restart your Outlook, and see if it works normally now. I'll stand by.

It didnt change anything, but when I searched for the folder, threr were some more of the Outlook folders coming up, like Drafts, Outbock, ect.

Just to confirm on my side, were you able to actually find the item Inbox.dbx and delete it?

Yes I did. Threr were actually two Inbox files, the one had (1) at the end. I deleted them both.

Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX and go to the recycle bin, double click it, then right click and restore both inbox.dbx and inbox.dbx (1) in there.

Once you've done that, click Start > Run > In the run box type: MSIMN.EXE /safe and press ok

(MSIMN.EXE and /safe have a space between them)

Outlook Express will open, does it still show the same issue?

I see, lets continue:

  1. Quit Outlook Express if it is running.
  2. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Security tab. The Internet security zone should be selected.
  4. Click Custom Level, and then click Enabled under the Active Scripting category.
  5. Click OK, and then click OK.

last Friday. There was a message coming up, that I have to clear Deleted Items Folder, since it is taking to much memory or so, I dont remember correctly. But I didnt do that, since it was not the fisrt time I had this message coming up, and It was not the fisrt time, that I couldnt read my emails. Usually it worked after I restarted the computer again. But this time it didnt. I talked to a friend of mine, who is into computers aswell, and he said, it cant be the memory. I use this OE for my business and I have about 5-10 emails coming in every day, since a year and a half. could that be the problem?

It may be Outlook Express corruption due to too many undeleted emails, do you have the Windows cd?

no I dont. Would it help If I delet All the deleted messages, is there a way, to tranfer them to a differnt folder, since I do not really wanna loose them.
