Do you have the model number for the TV?
Depending on the model, you should see an Input button either on the bottom front of the TV, or on the side next to the RCA inputs.
All the inputs are on the back. TV is about 3 yrs old, CRT, huge and weighs a ton. It is very difficult to move. The only markings on the front are "Toshiba TheaterWide BBE"
Ok. Well the buttons should be down along the front of the TV where the power button is located
The model number may be located on the back of the TV
There are buttons for "On" and "Off," Channel and volume up and down. That's all. It lives in a tight fitting cubby and requires two people to move it forward and out of the space. Getting anything from the back is a major commitment.
Is there a panel on the front or side that can be lifted?
Yes, that's where volume and channel reside. I recall that the back has two sets of RCA inputs (Video, Audio right and left), one set of RCA outputs, Svideo, HDMI... but no buttons
also... no model number
Also... no model number under front panel
Ok. Well without any type of model it's going to be difficult. You may try hitting both channel buttons at the same time.
thought so. Both channel button simultaneous is a no go
looks like we'll have to get a universal remote. Any way that our Dish Network remote might find the TV's menu screen?
The Dish Network remote would have to be programmed for the TV
it currently can affect volume and power on and off
the "menu" button on the dish remote has no effect
The non-manufacturer remotes have limited functions with the TV. If there is an Input button on the remote you can try that. Otherwise, you may have to reprogram the remote with the TV to see if you can get the other buttons working.
Or obtain the model number so we can research the manual
by "input" button do you mean "Modes" like "Sat" "TV" "DVD" "AUX?"
No, modes are different than Input
I see it... THERE IT IS! GOT IT! You're a genius! THanks Omar C!
Have a great evening! and Thanks
