hi, My Iomega GDHDU is not showing up on my computer, I have used this drive many times before, It is plugged in the usb port is ok as tried the printer in it. The cable looks fine. Help!!!!!!! I have all my work saved on it :-(

Before doing any troubleshooting, you have to check another USB cable with the hard drive.

Yes, that might be the problem. Do you see any error codes associated with it. Do you have the hard drive driver?

Please right click on the USB and select update driver.

Hi,

Do you have the driver disc for the hard drive? If so, try to install the same using the disc.

In device manager, do you get the same yellow mark to the USB connections? If so, right click on it and select uninstall. Then restart the computer.
