I was able to print wireless until I updated the driver on the host computer. Now I get the printer error 0x000003e3 when I try add the printer. The message says it cannon connect to the computer

I do not want to go back to the previous driver because it was causing the computer to not boot up. Toshiba helped me find that the driver needed to be updated for Windows 7

  2. Right click on Printers.
  3. Select Properties.
  4. Go to Ports tab.
  5. Disable “ Enable bidirectional support”
  6. Close control panel.

  2. Click on Continue when UAC Window appears.
  3. Now select “Add a local printer” | Create a new port.
  4. Type IP address and Share Name of the printer..
  5. Click Next

I'm confused. The file tells how to install for Vista not Windows 7 and when I try to follow it my computer is different. Am I suppose to do this on the host file? Maybe I should attach this computer to the printer?

when I try to add a printer and that printer name comes up, but when It tries to connect with it a message comes "do you trust this printer" I say "install printer" and it starts to install and then aborts with the message ""windows cannot connect to the printer" I click "details" and it says " error 0x000003e3"

Find out. The printer is not a wireless printer. but you print wireless through your host computer that have a shared printer

Here is solution, see procedure below (also click link here for the source)

On this second computer

1. Click Start, click Control Panel and double click Printers.

2. Then go to File menu, then select Run as administrator, then ->Add Printer.


When UAC window pops up, click Continue to go on.


3. Select "Add a local printer".

4. Select "Create a new port". Choose "Local Port" as the type of the port.

\\
5. In the box "Enter a port name", type the address as the following format.


\\[IP address of the host computer]\[The Share Name of the printer]

Now We need to find both of them on your host computer, follow this:
go to your host computer

click Start, then All programs,then accessories, then click Run
type
cmd
press Enter
then type
ipconfig
press Enter

then find IPv4 address, write it down, this is the ip address of host computer
then go to the pritner setting on the host computer, right click this HP printer, select properties, then go to Sharing, write down the share name


After that, come back to second computer and type them like this way

example: \\192.168.1.0\sharingprinter


Then it is good to go
