Are you following the steps as given in the link below?

incoming server port - 995

outgoing smtp server port - 465

Matt :

Customer:

Still not working - what is my next step?

Customer:

My server port numbers are correct - still getting an error message when testing the account that incoming and outgoing servers do not recognize my settings?

Customer:

server name or port is being cited in the error message for both in and out...

Matt :

Ok, add your email account once again, making sure to use the correct settings as follows:

Incoming (POP): pop.att.yahoo.com
Outgoing (SMTP): smtp.att.yahoo.com (requires authentication)
Incoming mail server type: POP3
Incoming/Outgoing User Name: Full email address, including domain ([email protected])
Incoming mail port #: 995, secure connection (SSL) checked
Outgoing mail port # XXXXX secure connection (SSL) checked

Done that, select 'Always use this profile: <your newly created profile>', and click Ok.

Done that, re-open Outlook, and let me know how you get on.

Matt :

Remove the existing profile first.
