When you say your cursor is frozen.. is it still loading into your windows desktop background so you can see your shortcuts and such?

Ok.. Are you using a wireless mouse? A usb mouse? or the touchpad on your laptop?

Ok, thanks.. What is the name brand, and model.. Of your laptop?

And do you have a usb or wireless mouse handy?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
HP G60-535DX Notebook - I would have to disconnect the mouse I am using to communicate with you to put on the laptop - willing to try that if you say to

Ok.. Apologies for the delay..

Before we try that.. Im glad your on a second computer..

Lets try a test on the HP

Shut it down.. then.. Start it.. Immediately start tapping F8..

choose, last known good configuration.

then let it start up.. Then.. See if you can use the mouse.. if not

In the center of the touch pad, right above it.. Press the touchpad on off button..

Does that change anything?
