Hello, I experienced the same problems when installing MSOffice 2007 on a new
Acer 6292 Vista notebook. Microsoft claims this problem is generated by add-ins for outlook.
I have disabled the add-in by editing the registry:

1. open the registry editor (click start>run> type "regedit"
2. navigateon the left to key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\
3. find the add-in
4. set the LoadBehavior to 0

There may be several addin. look for a 3rd party add-in that is not related to microsoft. It's usually a program such as Norton Antivirus or a fingerprint reader program.

This fixed my problems.
Hope this helps
