Expert:  MD.REHAN replied 6 years ago.

lets remove all the charge from mother board.......

Unplug your laptop.(if the charger cord is connect)

Then remove the battery from the laptop.

Now press power button for 1 minute(without the battery)

Now plug in the charger cord and insert battery and turn on your laptop

Check if this makes any difference to your problem

Expert:  MD.REHAN replied 6 years ago.

Do you see line on the screen from the moment the laptop boots up.....or you see the line only after Windows loads..??

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

I see it as soon as it boots up... Also, I did unplug and removed the battery and held the botton down for 1 min and it didn't fix the problem

Hello,

Welcome to JustAnswer !! I am Andy and I will be glad to help you out with your issue today.

This can happen because of these reasons :
1. Your display has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
2. The graphics card on the motherboard has gone bad.

Connect an external monitor to this laptop and if that works fine then No.2 can be ruled out.
Note: After you plug in external monitor, you might need to press Fn + FX (X =1 to 12) keys to toggle to external monitor. FX is one of the Function keys.

This is not a software problem and needs repair/replacement of the malfunctioning part.

If laptop is in warranty contact the manufacturer for free repair. Else take a quote from few shops and then get it repaired.

Feel free to ask any question or concern you may have. I will be glad to help you.
