Hi there, and welcome to JustAnswer

Richard C :

You will need to export the emails within the folders, then recreate the folders in GMail and import the email into them

JACUSTOMER-7u0jw3yx- :

How do I do that? I need to know for both the active e mail and the one that is discontinued because it was hacked. I understand that everything is on my pc, and I have disabled the backup since the problem.

Richard C :

ok, do you access you AOL via your internet browser or an email program?

JACUSTOMER-7u0jw3yx- :

I can do either. I was using ie but now have Firefox as well. I also have aol 9.1 software. That's the way I usually sign in.

Richard C :

ok, the best method will be to use the mail fetcher within your GMAIL account

Richard C :

You can use it for free on the below link

Richard C :

It will bring your emails from your AOL account into your GMail account

Richard C :

This you can do for up to 5 of your AOL accounts that you have

JACUSTOMER-7u0jw3yx- :

Will this do it for both accounts?

Richard C :

yes

Richard C :

it can do up to 5

JACUSTOMER-7u0jw3yx- :

How about the account that has been deactivated because it was hacked?

Richard C :

you will need to regain access to it again

Richard C :

that AOL will need to assist you with, and you can contact them via this link

Richard C :

once you have regained access, then you can use the mail fetcher from GMail to retrieve the mails

JACUSTOMER-7u0jw3yx- :

But there is nothing in it. They stole everything - all mail and contacts and everything on aol. The only reason that I think I can get it is that it's on my pc.

Richard C :

ok, you can check if within your AOL you have the Saved on MY PC folder

Richard C :

check for that please

Richard C :

and do you see them in your AOL desktop?

JACUSTOMER-7u0jw3yx- :

yes, it is there in the active account, but I don't know about the other. I'll check the desktop.

Richard C :

ok, if they are there we can export them

Richard C :

let me know please

JACUSTOMER-7u0jw3yx- :

I have folders on my desktop called aol saved files and aol saved pfc and aol stuff.

Richard C :

ok, are your emails in these folders?

JACUSTOMER-7u0jw3yx- :

I need to go now. Can I recontact you to finish this conversation and save this?

JACUSTOMER-7u0jw3yx- :

How can I tell if my e mails are in these folders?

Richard C :

Richard C :

Richard C :

Richard C :
