I had been running Peoplepc 7.3 until I started getting bartshell…

I had been running Peoplepc...
I had been running Peoplepc 7.3 until I started getting bartshell errors...
Acceleration stopped working or worked intermittently..

I decided to reinstall Peoplepc 7.3 using cd.

When I tried to reinstall I am prompted that my system will not support Peoplepc 7.3 and an older version will be installed, (Peoplepc 6.6). I am running Explorer 8 on Windows XP home edition and all critical updates have been downloaded.


I managed to install Peoplepc 6.6, by restoring computer to prior date.
The computer still refuses to reload Peoplepc 7.3
I still get occasional bartshell Error and I do not have acceleration.
I can not run the acceleration diagnostic program..
I keep getting disconcerted by Bartshell errors

Please give a list of options on how to fix this problem.

Could you please tell me what is the exact error messages that you receive?

Bartshell Module has incountered an error and window must closed and or Exlporer 8 will not come up.

After I reinstalled the Peoplepc program the acceleration feature did not load or did not load correctly.

there are two ways to resolve this software problem.

one/contact peoplepc directly and they will have you delete the software and download a vb script that i dont have access to. yoou will run the script then install the latest version of the software which will work.

two/ You can create the connection manually without using the software from peoplePC.

To do that do the following:

Click start, click control panel and make sure you are in classic view then double click on "Network Connection" Once that is open then on the left side click on "create a new connection" and the new connection wizard will open. Click next, then click next again, then click on "Setup My Connection Manually" and click next, now click on "connect using a dialup modem" should be first option then click next, Now in the white box type in PeoplePC then click next, Now go to the link below and type in your phone number to get the access number that you will be dialing into

Now when it gives you the number to dial into then type that in the new connection window where it says "type the phone number below" then click next again, Now type you username and password XXXXX confirm the password XXXXX click next, Lastly click FINISH and try to dialup
