What problem are you facing with your audio?

There is no sound.The sounds and audio devices properties into listen dicates no audio device.


The system had been working just fine.

Please try the following and inform.

1. From Start -> Run, type devmgmt.msc and press OK.

2. This will open the Device Manager. Can you see any yellow marks under Sound, Video and Game Controllers?

Do you have the computer driver cd with you?

Do you have the Windows CD with you?

Ok go to the device manger as before, right click on the microsoft kernel wave audio mixer and click Update driver.

When asked to connect to Windows Update, choose "No, not this time" and click Next. Now select automatically install and click next.

update wizard indicated that it could not find a better ocd wwhichne. It the ask to insert device i don't have.


Ok please try the following.

From the Start -> Run, type the following command and press OK

sfc /scannow

This ill start the system file checker to repair any damaged file. Run and then check the sound again.
