I installed Mozilla Firefox onto...
I installed Mozilla Firefox onto my computer and during the process of installation, my direct connection to AOL 9.1 was interrupted and no longer intact. I uninstalled Mozilla Firefox but the direct connection to AOL was not restored!! And as a result, I'm in hot water with my wife!!! How do I restore that connection?

Hi there, and welcome to JustAnswer

 

The simplest solution will be to do the following

 

Restart the computer and keep pressing F8 until a menu appears

 

Choose "Last known good configuration"

 

Once the process is complete, the computer will be at the state it was in before you installed Firefox, and AOL should now be functional.

I apologize for not getting back to your answer....because when I restarted my computer, pushing f8 did nothing,( at least there was no menu that appeared), but the rebooting from the restart did eradicate the changes, and the process did revert back to the way things were before I did that. Moreover, i deleted the Mozilla firefox from the computer and that seemed to help. So, I am not convinced that your advice did any good as far as the problem expressed. I have no problem with your keeping the $10 deposit; I just don't believethat your assist was of much benefit. thanks for the effort,
