My Outlook will not open. When I try to start it from my desktop I receive an error message, "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window."

Which version of outlook you are using

is it Express or 2003 or 2007

I'm using Office 2007 so I have the full version of Outlook.
Okay

goto Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>Run

Type below commands



"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /resetnavpane

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /Safe


Then try to open outlook again

(if any error please try office12 in place of office11)

I tried both office11 and office12. Office11 said the file didn't exist and Office12 gave me the same error message.

When I go to the above link it talks about command-line switches for Microsoft Office 2003 and I'm running Office 2007. What do I need to do?

It's simple actually.

 

Please click start->All programs->Accessories->Run

 

(Alternately you can simply press windows key +R)

 

Type outlook /resetnavpane in the run prompt and press enter.

 

(Please Note that there is a space between outlook and /resetnavpane)

Relist: Incomplete answer.
I talked with XXXXX XXXXXnell several months ago about this same problem and his answer was quick and to the point resolving my problem. This answer doesn't help me with my problem. Can I speak with Jerry again?
