I use Microsoft outlook. When...
I use Microsoft outlook. When I receive emails with attachments I cant open the links, such as emails from Amazon. When I try to check out a link, a dialogue box opens asking me to pick the program to open it with. Unfortunately none of these work with the link. It shows a file extension at the top which is made up of numerous signs, such as number etc.

Hi,

 

So basically the issue is you can't open links from your email.

 

Do this:

Open Internet Explorer >

Click on Tools >

Click Internet Options >

Click on Programs Tab >

Click on Make Default Button >

Click Apply >

Click Ok.

 

If that does not works:

 

Open Internet Explorer >

Click on Tools >

Click Internet Options >

Click on Advanced Tab >

Click on Reset >

Click on Reset again >

Click Apply >

Click Ok.

 

Now try to open links from mail.

 

If that does not works, download and install firefox browser from this link: http://firefox.com/

 

After installing Firefox, try opening the mail.

 

Let me know, if that works.

Anyways, have you installed Firefox? If yes, have you tried opening it?

Yes Firefox is installed and I have opened it but still I cant open links in my emails.

Ok this time open firefox and when it asks to make it default, choose yes, than again try to open the links.
