Hi,

You have to compact the pst file to fix this:

In Outlook > Click File > Click Data File Management > Click to select your Personal Folder > Click Settings > Go to General tab > Click Compact Now > Click OK > Click Close.

Source: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289987

If that does not works, let me know for further follow up.

Tech Support Specialist: Ansh P., Computer Systems Analyst replied 8 years ago
Thats the problem, have you compacted every pst file?
Ask Your Own Computer Question
Customer reply replied 8 years ago
no but before i do, do i need all these. there are two that have a lot of info which I'm sure are the ones I need should we delete some of these then compact the balance
Tech Support Specialist: Ansh P., Computer Systems Analyst replied 8 years ago
These are your mail profiles. I can't tell which profiles which you use without looking at them personally. If you are sure of which one you use, you can delete the rest.

yes and more than one

Select them all and press Ctrl + X to cut > Create a folder in some other drive like D: and Press Ctrl + V to paste them in that folder. It will remove all the present data from outlook and when you start it, it will ask to create a new profile. I hope you remember all the settings associated with your email account.

Hi John, Thank you for your expertise and, more important, for your kindness because they make me, almost, look forward to my next computer problem. After the next problem comes, I'll be delighted to correspond again with you. I'm told that I excel at programing. But system administration has never been one of my talents. So it's great to have an expert to rely on when the computer decides to stump me. God bless, Bill
