In Outlook, Click File > Work Offline > Now try to delete the stuck message.

Its strange, try pressing the Send/Receive button on the toolbar.

Try sending another mail and see if that goes. Also, try closing and opening Outlook.

I think something wrong with the connection or Outlook settings.

 

Restart the computer and router, try again, if that fails, let me know.

everything else on outlook works fine , i am getting my e-mails, can sync my iphone etc. just can't get my e-mails to go

Click tools > Account settings > highlight your email address and click properties > Check for outgoing server and smtp port.

Tools > Options > Mail Setup > Under Email Accounts > E-mail Accounts. > Select your account > Click Change > More Settings > Advanced tab.
