Take all paper out of the printer

Do not leave any in it..

Now look in the paper tray and see if you see any obstructions and also look anywhere on the printer that you can view the internal area for obstructions

In my experience there is almost always something even very little obstructing causing the issue

Please do this

Remove the ink cartridges

and then Unplug the printer

What we are going to do is lift the printer up, after ink is removed

and flip it over and hold it securely in place while shaking it just for a few seconds

and see if anything falls out of it

sometimes dust or some other foriegn object can cause these problems...

Press down on the semi-circular tab to release the cartridge and then remove it.

Look in the Rear Tray area for an obstruction. If there is any foreign material (such as a piece of metal or pen) inside the printer, after turning the printer off and removing the power cord from the outlet, remove the foreign material by hand, or with tweezers.
