My new Dell V515w printer will neither print nor delete documents

This answer was rated:

My new Dell V515w printer will neither print nor delete documents from the queue.
I have followed all the instructions in the reference guide (turning off the computer) and online, and nothing works. I called 87-694-3591 and got an unhelpful technician who had nothing to suggest that would resolve my problem.
I am resigned to paying a licensed Dell technician to come to my house (I write at home, and my computer is a Dell XP desk model) if you can recommend one.
Hello and Welcome JustAnswer

To clear the documents from the print queue you have to do the following:

1. Click Start > Run and type services.msc in the open box

This will open the Services window.

Scroll down to Print spooler and double-click on it

Stop the service

Do not close the Services window yet. Instead, minimise it.

Now click Start > Run and type C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS. Press Enter.

Delete all the files in this folder

Go back to the Services window and double-click on Print Spooler.

This time start the spooler service.

This should clear the print queue.

Please let me know if you have any problems or questions.

Thanks
