my laptop screen wont brighten up ..... i heve tried the fn and brightness but it wont work

Hi,

- What is make and model of computer

- Do you mean that your laptop boots up fine but the screen is too dim to read. And can you see it using a flash light ?

- Right now are you talking to me from same or a different computer ?

its a asaus notebook model a6r
i can see the screen just barely
and im on a diffrent computer

Hi, Thank you for the information.

Please do the following carefully and let me know result :
1. Shutdown and Unplug your laptop.
2. Remove the battery from the laptop.
3. Wait 2-3 minutes
4. Now press ON (power button on laptop) for 1 minute
5. Then release the finger and wait one more minute.
6. Now plug in the power cable (dont insert battery yet) and press ON button.
7. Did your screen start working now ? (do you see windows loading)

after accepting that message i got screen back are you sure there not related it have lost screen before and it just comes back sometimes but then i lose it again
i have set the unit on super perfomance maybe that may help

i have found out that if i have the power supply plugged in now i have no screen but if i turn it off at the wall i get my screen back do you still suggest doing the steps
