problem has been going on since yesterday
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.
Hi !!

Remove the data cable from the monitor and only provide it power. Observe the screen and the LED. Now plug back the cable. What did you see on screen and what about its LED.

Let me know

I didn't observe anything
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.
Hi !!

Please unplug the monitor completely. Take it to another room and provide it only power.

Do you get a message like "No Signal" or anything on the screen ? ... Does the screen bounces up/down that time

Andy
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
It said - your monitor is working
check the video cable and pc
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.
Hi !!

Good. And did the screen bounce with that message ?

Andy
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
no, it didn't
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.
Hi !!

In that case :
1. Either the data cable that connects monitor to tower is loose or broken. Reseat it and then replace it if problem persists.

2. Graphics chipset on motherboard has gone bad. And your motherboard or the graphics card needs to be repaired / replaced.

Feel free to ask any question or concern you may have. I will be glad to help you.

It only does this when I'm on the internet

Hi !!

Right now is the screen bouncing ?

Andy
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
yes
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.
Hello !!

Please do this and let me know

1. Start > Run > type msconfig [press Enter]
2. goto Services tab.
3. Click on the ‘Hide All Microsoft Services’ box at the bottom of the
screen so that it has a tick in it. The window in the middle of the screen
should change when you do this. It may take a few seconds to take
effect.
4. Then click the ‘Disable All’ button on the bottom right. It should un-tick
all the boxes now visible.
5. Now goto startup tab.
6. Then click the ‘Disable All’
7. Click APPLY.
8. Click Restart.

9. The computer will restart. Upon restarting, you will see a window.
10. Put a tick in the box ‘Don’t show this message or launch…’ and click
the ‘OK’ button.

Then see if the problem persists.

Let me know

When I go to start, then run and type mysconfig, I get a message saying that is not recognized
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.
Hello !!

Type MSCONFIG ... and Not MYSCONFIG

Andy
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
it doesn't recognize msconfig either - I can get to services, and then I went to view, then customize. I didn't know what to do, or if I was in the right place.
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.
Hello !!

If you are using Windows XP ... and if you type msconfig in RUN window and press enter, it has to open MS Config window.

Please try it few times

I did all that, and the problem persists, unfortunately.
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.
Hello !!

Can you please tell me what do you mean that "bouncing happens only while using internet"

Andy
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
if I'm on the opening page, I play computer games, solitaire, etc. There isn't any bouncing.
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.
Hi !!

So what bounces exactly

Andy
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
The screen goes from the bottom of the page to the top at will. I am unable to move it where I want it. I try to slide it up or down, and it just keeps bouncing up, down, or once in awhile might stay in place. It's very annoying.
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.

Andy
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
It doesn't bounce until I open a page.
Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.
Hi !!

After the google.com page opens up, does it bounces ?

Andy

Expert:  Andy replied 7 years ago.

Andy
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
