I will be happy to assist you, but first I need a little more information.

When you say your cursor is stuck, what do you mean exactly?
Is your mouse not moving?
Is it the blinking cursor that is not moving?

i don't have a mouse. i'm using the pad on my laptop. when i turn on my computer, the cursor is stuck. it won't move. this hapened before, and i found on the web, to press i think, shift f8 or ctrl alt f8. (something like that), and it released the cursor, allowing it to move. i wrote it down, but misplaced the paper.

Try the key combination Fn and the F7 key.

Let me know if that does not work, as there are a few other things we can look at.

my computer told me to try systems restore. i just did systems restore, and the cursor is now moving!! thankyou for trying to help me!!

No problem, wish I could have helped more.

However, now that you have done a system restore, you should make sure to go to Windows Update and download the latest ones. As all updates that took place after the date the system was restored to will need to be reinstalled.
