Thank you for contacting Just Answer.

First, I need more information in order to better assist you.

What operating system is running on your PC?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.

I'm not sure what you are asking for, firefox is one company I use, xp is my windows. Is that what you are asking for?

Ok thank you - that is what I needed to know.

Now are you having trouble logging into Windows or logging in to boot your PC?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
so far nothing has changed, the message is the same..compter is in use, please type in the password
Are you able to boot past the Windows logo into the Windows login screen?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I have rebooted several times and it gets to the screen saver and shortly hibernates
Ok so the login screen never appears?

If so is Windows configured to automatically login to a certain account on boot up (meaning you don't usually have to login to boot your PC)?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
that is true
Ok then since you have tried bringing up the login screen and have attempted to login but without success, it sounds like you need to reset/recover your account password XXXXX So download the file at the link below and burn it to disc using the "burn image to disc" option in your CD/DVD software then place the disk in the CD/DVD drive of the PC that needs the password XXXXX and then follow the instructions at the link below to reset your password:
