i have a dell Latitude D630. I opened up my laptop this morning

i have a dell Latitude D630. I opened up my laptop this morning to see that I am working on a split screen. the top half of my screen is also duplicated on the bottom half. I seem to be working in a split screen mode. is a button stuck or function button accidently turned on?

Please do this and let me know result.

Press Ctrl+D to save this page as Favorite/Bookmark so that you can click on it to reach me after you restart computer.

Go START > Control Panel > Device manager

Double click on Monitors to expand it. Right click on your monitor's driver and Uninstall it.

Then restart computer and let me know if this made any difference.

i don't seem to have device manager option in my control panel? would it be labeled something else?

Lets do this :

Goto START > RUN > type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

Device manager should open up.

I am in the device manager, however there is no listing for Monitors?
Hi !!

On the top can you see VIEW button, click on it and click on "Show Hidden Devices"

Then see if it shows up

it did not show up.
Hi, Please follow the steps below and let me know results. This will take your computer back in time period when everything was working fine.

Press Ctrl+D to save this page as Favorite/Bookmark so that you can click on it to reach me after you restart computer.

Steps:
1. Restart your laptop and keep pressing F8 key.
2. This will take you to Boot Option Menu
3. Select "Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)"
4. Press Enter
5. Windows should load normally.
