Hi,

If you go to Start > Control Panel > System > Device Manager, is it listed under Input Devices?

Is there a button somewhere on your laptop to disable or enable the touchpad? :)

Rob
Customer: replied 8 years ago.

Not that I can see, and I have had it for years.

Try pressing Fn + f7 or Fn + f8 to see if that enables it
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Neither enables it.

Ok restart your computer, go into the BIOS and look for an option to enable or disable the touchpad

If that doesn't work

Remove the PS/2 device from Device Manager and restart

If that doesn't work

Download the latest driver here:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-42487.html

Install that

If THAT doesn't work then you likely have a physical hardware problem. Either the connection is loose or the touchpad needs to be replaced
