Hi,

So you want to transfer your pictures right?

What is the brand and model of the camera?

I do not want to transfer pictures to my camera, I want to see the subject on my laptop screen while I am taking the picture, my camera is an olympus 420

Hi,

Well there's your problem. It's not possible to do that. The cable is used to transfer images and video, not to output a "Live View" on another screen.

Thanks,

Yes it can be done because I have seen someone do it before at a booth in chicago, ill

Hi,

Someone doing it at a booth is different than an end user doing it at home. This is not a feature built into the camera. It would require specialized hardware.

That is what I want to find out if you know what kind of hardware is needed to do it?

Hi,

I just called my friend who works as a manager of all Olympus reps in the area and he isn't aware of a piece of hardware that end users can purchase to do this. He said that the one's they use are provided directly by Olympus.
