my aol keeps signing me on and off automatically w/o my doing.

HI, steph,

AOL times you out if it thinks you are idle. They do this to save their overworked servers. When you are surfing, as far as AOL is concerned you are idle. To avoid this, set up AOL e-mail to check for new messages every 10 minutes. This comes across to the AOL site as activity, and you won't get timed out.
