What stage of running the perl script or .pl file do you need to know about?Do you need to know about writing the hello world script? if so, you can follow basic directions on a web page that I will shortly cite for you.Do you need to know simply how to run it as a command or at the command line? then you need a Perl interpreter on your computer, and I would need to know what computer you wish to run it on, e.g. Linux computer, or Windows, etc.On a Linux computer, you would run it by first copying the hello world script to another directory, then changing (ren -ing its name) to end in .cgi, then you would simply invoke it from that directory like this at the command line: ./helloworld.cgi (or a dot, a forward slash, and the name of the copy of the file that you renamed to .cgi.)
