How large is the file?
OKay, that would make sense.....you cant have 2 files with the SAME file name in the SAME folder.
So, changing the video file name....just by adding in another letter or number will change the file name.
Did you run out of space on your Moodle account?
Are you setting up a Course?
To add files to a Moodle course, you must first ensure you have the editing turned on

Wait, you said you couldnt upload ANYTHIGN.....and now you say you CAN.....im confused.
Customer: "It's not letting me upload anything. I can't figure out which to change."
But the files you upload are working YES?
Let me get this straight.....you CAN upload, and the upload WORKS, and the files are visible, and can be downloaded......but you get an error message......but the error message....does it STOP you form doing somethign?
Or, does the error message STOP you form Uploading ANYTHING?
Or just videos?
DO all files (documents, zip files, pictures) give you error message?
Im getting conflicting information from you, and its hard to determine WHICH is correct.
SO, at one point you said you CANT upload because of error message, and then you said you COULD upload.......so im confused.

By that i mean, where does the FILE actually live?
Does it live on your computer? or does it live on YouTube?

That does NOT show me an error message.It just says pick a video, and it might take awhile to upload. But no error message.
You RED'd out all the info....i cant see anything about an error message.

If you have your own video you want to add to Moodle, you can upload it just like any other file or embed it in a Moodle page using the Moodle Media button. If it is a large file (over 100MB) or a longer video, it is best to contact ITS to upload your file to our streaming video server. Email *****@******.*** with your request.
The easiest way to add a YouTube video is to add a link to the video, by adding a URL resource. Copy the URL of the YouTube video and paste it into the address of the URL resource.

I think that is WHY you are not given a choice to CHOOSE a video from your computer.

UPloading you are famalier with.....but EMbedding (inserting) is different

I dont know if its an issue with the server, or your computer.
Without SEEING it first hand.....its the type of issue that cant be helped on a Q and A session.
One of the colleges I've been to used Moodle and if I recall they should have their own tech support for it. There should be a support link on the moodle page somewhere and it should have a phone number or at least a email address.
