Our second computer has...

Our second computer has lost internet service. My primary computer on a wired connection is fine. CTL tech support helped me locate the problem, which seems to be that the wireless adapter is not connected. However, I found what I think is the adapter plugged into the second computer, with little green light lit. That looks as if it is plugged in. It's a small, flat device with a stubby antenna like the one on my modem. Do you have any thoughts to help me?

Technician's Assistant: Are you able to connect using an ethernet cable?

I don't know what an ethernet cable is. There are no cables going from my computer to the other computer

Technician's Assistant: Which lights are colored and/or blinking on your router?

Power, DSL, Int, Ether, WiFi

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Network Expert to know before I connect you?

I don't think so. Brianna was very helpful when I called, but I didn't talk to her about what I found behind the computer, i.e., the device I think is the adapter.
