Hi....we have just talked with our cable company to find out why our computtje er won't come on. She said the problem seems to be with our router. The computer will work when the modem is plugged directly into the computer.Our router is jG54 WWireless Router WG

I would like to clarify a note you've mentioned. You had said the computer won't come on but I think you mean it won't connect to the internet, correct?

Based on your notes, you are able to get online with your modem directly connected to your computer, but you cannot get connected when you router is plugged up. If you plug up the router to your modem, are hooking directly up to your router to your computer or are you trying to do this wirelessly?
