Several months ago I...

Several months ago I replaced a Netgear N600 with a Model 6250. Checking my network my computer still shows the N600 and I cannot connect with WD My Book external hard drive consequently nothing has been backed up since the change routers.

Technician's Assistant: Are you able to connect using an ethernet cable?

Yes and I have gone thru the unpower and reconnect the modem and router. I recently changed my modem to a Comcast/ Xvinity modem

Technician's Assistant: Which lights are colored and/or blinking on your router?

I have a white power light then a second white light followed by a blue light.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Network Expert to know before I connect you?

Don' connect me with someone in India who wants to completely reconfigure my computer and charge $120.00
