we had to reset our router. by mistake we pressed the reset button on the bottom instead of unplugging it. now we have lost all our settings. how can we reconfigure so it works we have a LynksysE2500
JA: Can you describe your network setup (devices and cables used)?
Customer: we have an iMac, MacBook pro, iPads. we have a arris modem.
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: what do you mean?
JA: What confuses you?
Customer: "this popped up"...what does this mean?
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: everything!! we had been away for a few months and called our internet provider to complain that our internet speed was very slow. he told us to reset the router.

I'm sorry about the issue, If you want to change your Network Name (SSID) please follow the steps below :

1. Open safari browser and go to

2.Login to your modem by typing your username and password (The default password ***** admin and there is no username.)

3.Select Apply

4. Select Wireless Setup

5. Select the SSID you want to edit.

6.Set the SSID state. (If you want to hide your network, Select Hide SSID)

7.Enter an SSID network name.

8.Select Apply
