To better understand the problem, please tell me if you were able to finish the setup process? If yes, do you see a new network generated by the extender?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
The extender is not showing up in my wifi settings on my phone
Expert:  IT Miro replied 8 months ago.

OK, let's go through the setup process again. I will guide you. First, let me know the model of your Netgear extender.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
It is the 7000 and I've had it for quite awhile was just trying out a new cable modem today and it didn't work so back with the old cable modem and trying to get my extender to work again is all

Thanks for the information!

Let's first reset the extender to the factory defaults so we can set it up again. To do that, insert a paper clip or similar object into the hole of the Reset button located on the rear side and hold it for 10 seconds. After that, release the Reset button and wait for about 2 minutes for the extender to stabilize.

Expert:  IT Miro replied 8 months ago.

After the reset, please check if you can see a WiFi network named NETGEAR_EXT?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I got it working all I had to do was reboot my phone and it showed up.

Oh, that's great! Hopefully, everything will work now.

In case you encounter any other problem, let me know.

IT Miro
