Customer Question

I have a netgear 3400 router and a netgear 2500 extender. I have lost my extender connection for some reason and when I go to my router it continues searching for a network after a very short connection.
JA: How much experience do you have with this particular Netgear router?
Customer: I have had it for 3-4 years.
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Nothing. I connected 2 Sonos speakers through the network but that is it.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have shut the extender off and brought it back up but not the router.
JA: Anything else you want the network expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Your range extender might have lost its setup and have to be set up again, or there may be some other problem.

Try turning Off your router for 5 minutes, then On again.

See if that straightens things out again. But then there will be other things to try...
