I can't get my laptop to connect to my computer not even

I can't get my laptop to connect to my computer not even with and Ethernet cable
JA: Have you tested the connections by doing a ping utility test?
Customer: It pop up as wifi on my computer but says no internet
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I don't know what a ping test is
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Deleting the networks and tried setting them back up. Unplugged out internet and a direct connection through our Ethernet cable
JA: Anything else you want the network expert to know before I connect you?

Thank you. Please perform these steps:

Click the start menu button and open Settings (the gear icon)

On the Settings page click Network & Internet

From the vertical menu on the left side of the page select Status

At the bottom of the page click
Network Reset>>Reset Now

The process takes about 5 minutes and requires a restart (you'll get a notification at the 2-minute-to-restart mark)

On the Settings page click Network & Internet

From the vertical menu on the left side of the page select Wi-fi

It should show as ON

Right-click on the start menu button and select Run.

Type in: rstrui.exe and click OK

System Restore will open.

Click Next. Put a checkmark in the Show More Restore Points box if you see it.

Select a restore date when the wi-fi was working and click Next then Finish.

Say continue when you see the warning and run the restore.

See if your wireless is back to working after the restore is done.
