Customer Question

I have a ThinkPadT510 which I am trying to connect to a Canon Pixma MG2922. The T510 makes that connected noise when I plug the printer into the USB port, but will not recognize the printer.
JA: Have you tested the connections by doing a ping utility test?
Customer: I'm not very tech savvy. What's a ping utility test?
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I'm not sure I understand you. I'm just trying to connect the printer.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have unplugged and replugged. Not sure what else to try.
JA: Anything else you want the network expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No I think that's all.

Thank you for your question. I am Shefin and I look forward to helping you with your issue today.

May I know the operating system you are using? Is it Windows 7?

How do you connect the printer to the computer? Using USB cable?

Can I access your computer remotely and check the issue?

Thank you.
