My system works fine but I did not set up a password

Customer Question

my system works fine but I did not set up a password ***** and don't have the original paperwork. How can I set up a password *****?
JA: When did you last reset your username and password?
Customer: There never was a username and password ***** the internet. I usually work offline and just tune into the network for updates and downloads.
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Before what popped up
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: All I know for sure is that someone other than myself is using my network and that when using my phone I do not need to put in a password. Another person's network also appears on my phone now. Every thing on the computer itself is ok right now but I had to do a reset to an earlier time to get rid of some system changes made by an unknown person
JA: Anything else you want the network expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I was told that you could locate the original passwork to my current router so I could use it to reset to a personal password

Hello,
I am the person that will be helping you today.

May I ask for the brand and model name of your wireless router or your wireless modem?

Once I have the above requested information, I will be able to give you the correct answer.

I look forward to your response,
Jason

You have only given me the brand name without the model name. That is okay, I will give you the instructions that will work.

On a computer that is connected to the router, perform the steps below:
- Click the following link: http://192.168.1.1
--If the above address does not work, go to http://192.168.0.1
--If the above address also does not work, go to http://192.168.2.1
Username: admin
Password: password
- Click the Wireless settings link

Your network name and password ***** listed on that page.

Using the network name and password ***** you obtained from the instructions above, reconnect to the wireless signal.
