I have Dell XPS 420 was running Win 10 crashed hard drive Dell Support said Win 10 was the problem I can't reload Win 7 after replacing hard drive

First off, Windows 10 wouldn't crash a hard drive. Dell is completely wrong about that, and irresponsible, that's a dangerous thing to say.

What happens when you try to reload Windows 7?

If I run repair it asks for the driver for new media device. I have disconnected all upgrades PCIe USB 3.0, external Hard drive.
