i am robin from buffalo, ny
i have 3 computers for the family.
1 desktop that is used always with cable. 1 laptop used s bit of alot with cable. 1 laptop used quite a bit with wi-fi.
the laptop with cable lost its connection. we tried to disconnect router, reset it, and turn it on again. itworked.
then thedesgtop lost its connection and we did the same to it and it worked.
we had 2 working. and the last larptop with wifi quit working and we got it going the same way....except the desktop quit.
it keeps doing this.
help please!! all worked for the last 8 months until now.

I see you mentioned resetting router. Did you just un-plug it from the electrical outlet and then re-plug it, or you did a factory reset?

hello it miro!the reset was hit because i was told to do it from the person that was "teaching"me how to fix it. that was incorrect i guess.

on top of the router are 2 buttons. i was told to press them both. i pressed them at the same time.

it's a netgear. i don't know, upc scan, is on it. but i'm not sure. you last writing went to spam.

Anyway, I suggest resetting your Netgear router to factory default settings. That should resolve the problem you are experiencing. I can provide you with the instructions, but I need to know the correct Netgear model first. The ups scan doesn't help. So, please check the bottom side of it and you should see some numbers there.
