I have an e machine desktop EL1850-01e. I then have an att, zte mobile hotspot. I cannot get my desktop to locate the wireless hotspot?

Hello,
I am Pete, and I'll be happy to assist with your question today.
The desktop will need to have a wireless adapter fitted if you have not already done so. You can then connect to the hotspot wirelessly.
Note that the micro-USB port on the device is only used for charging - it does not allow you to establish a network connection.
