Hi Troy,

Apologies for that.

Are you able to get to the web manager of the TP LINK router.

Go to http://192.168.1.1 as an example.

The in there check click USB Settings - USB Mass storage

Provide me with the settings there.

Then got to USB Settings - Storage Sharing

Make sure that is enabled

Check that the volume is enabled and that there is Full access.

Then test by typing \\192.168.1.1\[volume name] in the Windows search bar

Ive done that. could you please send your email replies [email protected] that will work better

Sorry troy, this system is very limited and I cannot send you my email. It will violate the terms of this service.

I can opt out and another expert with remote control can help you. How does that sound?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

How do I go about getting remote help now on my computer

Hello and thank you for your question today. My name is Jason. I look forward to helping you today.

I see that you have been working on this problem for quite a bit of time.

Do you still need help with this problem? If so, may I start a screen sharing session on your computer and help you resolve the problem? I will send a remote link within minutes after your response, so please keep refreshing the page.

Thank you.

Hi Jason,

iI'll get you to connect remotely and set my new hard drive so that I can see it in my computer. Today I bought a new TP-Link router with a USB share facility, and have connected a new Drive into that. The router is recognising the drive, I've turned on sharing etc. The NAS we set up yesterday is working well. I just need to set up the other drive for backups. I took your advice and install FBackup all Pro

Cheers
