The page cannot be displayed. Netbook has not been connected to WiFi as of yet.

if you click on the wireless icon at the bottom right of the screen, can you connect to your wireless/wifi network name?

Customer:

The icon is not showing.

Does the netbook have windows xp, vista, or 7?

Can you check at the front, left, and right sides of the netbook to see if there is a wireless switch to turn on/off the wireless?

If there is no wireless switch, can you turn press at the same time the two keys Fn and the wireless icon key, which is located at one of the keys from F1 to F12, to turn on/off the wireless?

When you turn on the netbook, what does it say?

Do you mean when it first starts up? Loading OS Image, Smart Book

can you right-click on My Computer, then click on Properties?

Customer:

I don't have a regular mouse for this computer. Hold on, I will have to hook up my wireless mouse to it. When I use the mouse pad, and click on My Computer, it does not show properties.

Customer:

Brand New Net Book. Wi Fi has to be set up. I have the WI FI icon, but not the other one that is suppose to be on the task bar at the bottom right. I saw it one time, and now it is gone.

That is the icon that I could't find. I have that now. and the three headings are IP Info, IPvc Info and Wireless Info. I see my network on the listings.

It is asking for a network key.

Also, do you have another wireless computer/laptop that is currently connected via wireless? If so, does it have windows xp, vista, or 7? Can you click on Start, then right-click on Computer, then click on Properties, then check if your System type: is 32-bit or 64-bit?

netgear, xp, 64 bits

Please go to http://www.routerlogin.net/ (or http://192.168.1.1/ or http://192.168.0.1/), and login with:



  • Username = admin

  • Password = password



Then click on the Wireless settings option to get your wireless network name (SSID) and wireless / security key.
