Hi, and thanks for using JustAnswer.com.

Viet - Network Tech :

What is the brand and model of your laptop?

Viet - Network Tech :

Does it have windows xp, vista, or 7?

Viet - Network Tech :

Can you check if there is a wireless switch on the laptop (usually at a side of the laptop) to turn on/off the wireless?
If not, can you press at the same time the two keys Fn and the wireless icon (located from either the key F1 to F12) to turn on/off the wireless?

JACUSTOMER-v0r0jiek- :

Then click on Drivers - Network
Then download and install the following two wireless drivers:
Intel PRO/Wireless Drivers for Microsoft Windows Vista

JACUSTOMER-v0r0jiek- :

ok will do

Viet - Network Tech :

ok, but it looks like the built-in wireless card is broken as it's not even detected in Device Manager

Viet - Network Tech :

If it does not work, you can get a USB wireless adapter from your local computer store for about $15, then you can have wireless again.
