Sorry,
you are speaking in language I do not understand. I have a Mac. What is a terminal window? Can you explain this to me in terms I can understand?
Network Technician: James, Sr. Network Administrator replied 8 years ago
Sure - please click HERE to learn how to find your IP address.

Go to http://192.168.2.1

Where do I "go to". When I type that into my browser I get a bunch of advertisements. When I go to the finder and type that in nothing happens. When I go to system preferences (which is where I found my IP address) there is no window to login to. Can you find an "expert" for me who actually uses a MAC?
Network Technician: James, Sr. Network Administrator replied 8 years ago
Did apple say your ip was 192.168.2.1 or the gateway ip was 192.168.2.1?
Ask Your Own Networking Question
Customer reply replied 8 years ago
Apple told me to open System Preferences, then Network. There it says the DNS server is 192.168.2.1 and the Router is 192.168.1.1
Network Technician: James, Sr. Network Administrator replied 8 years ago
192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 ?

I think we are having a communication problem. Probably my fault. But in Safari there is no place to search. my search tool is Google. Is there another way to do this?
Network Technician: James, Sr. Network Administrator replied 8 years ago
I am not sure how to proceed with this case, so I will forward the question back to the expert pool. As soon as another expert picks up the question, you will be notified.

Sorry I couldn't resolve your issue!
