Hello,

Welcome to Just Answer! My name is XXXXX XXXXX am here to assist you.

First I need more information.

Is the wireless network to which you are connecting your own private wireless network or a public wireless network?

Also, are there other computers connected to the wireless network?
Ask Your Own Networking Question
Customer reply replied 8 years ago
The wireless is a I think a private wireless network, however when I want to map it I get the response that it cannot map it because itg is public. The other computer connected to wireless is being used as the server for the network.
Network Technician: Syseng, Computer Systems Engineer replied 8 years ago
Ok and was your computer able to connect to the same wireless network previously without this issue?
Ask Your Own Networking Question
Customer reply replied 8 years ago
Yes, every thing was fine until today.
Network Technician: Syseng, Computer Systems Engineer replied 8 years ago
Ok then if there have been no other changes to the network, next please do the following:

1. Click the Start button, then click Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click System Restore.
2. If you are prompted for an administrator password XXXXX confirmation, enter the password XXXXX provide confirmation.
3. Click the Restore My Computer To An Earlier Time radio button and click Next.
4. Now on the calendar that appears select the restore point that is at or before the date the issue first occurred and click Next.
5. Click Next again to start the restore process which will include a reboot.

Then try connecting to the wireless network again.

I have already done that and restored the computer to 6/5/2010 but still get the conflict message.
Network Technician: Syseng, Computer Systems Engineer replied 8 years ago
Ok then next try connecting to the wireless network and when it fails click Start then in Search type CMD and press Enter and then in the left pane a command line icon will appear. Right click on the icon and select Run As Administrator, and then when the command line opens type 'ipconfig /all' and press enter. Next, right click the bar at the top of the command line window and click Edit then Select All. Next, right click the top bar again and select Edit then Copy and then click this text box and press CTL and V keys at the same time to paste the command line output here so I can review.

When you try to connect to the wireless network is the computer also connected to the network with a network cable?

If not then next click Start, type CMD in the Search box and then right click the command line icon that appears in the left pane and click Run as Administrator then on the command line type:

netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.log

and press Enter and then reboot and try connecting to the wireless network.
